Unseen scars. Deeply rooted. Childhood experiences shape who we are.

Being Me Therapy combines cutting-edge psychology and nervous system work , with energy work and a a touch of magic . I offer 1:1 trauma therapy to help you find your way back to yourself.

When we feel overworked in our lives, our minds, our hearts, and our bodies, it's a sign that we need to tend to our unseen and unconscious wounds.

In my therapeutic practice, I weave together the latest psychological insights, research on the nervous system, and the subtle art of energy work. All of this is infused with my own deep intuition and experience, held within a space of loving empathy and connection.

The mind - body connection

When we reconnect with the authentic parts of ourselves that we unconsciously shut down in early childhood, we reclaim our power. The force that was once locked away returns to the body, and the compressed energy expands.

Developmental trauma deeply intertwines the physical body and energy body with our psychological structure. Changes in our self-perception (psychological structure) profoundly impact our body and energy – and vice versa.

Recognizing our true and positive identity creates shifts in the nervous system and energy system, and the other way around. In my sessions, we explore a metaphorical understanding of your nervous system and what happens when you experience physical and emotional discomfort. We actively work on regulating your emotions, and I teach you how to self-regulate in the midst of everyday life.

I integrate principles from Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, and Developmental Trauma therapy to illustrate how to foster a return to a regulated nervous system and our full potential, thereby supporting the true sense of self.

Often, we unconsciously repeat the same patterns in our relationships that we learned early in life. These patterns can be a source of stress, frustration, and conflict. By working with your trauma, you can break these patterns and create more fulfilling and nourishing relationships.

When defenses fall away, we can live from a place of deep connection, with ourselves and others.

As fear, old lies, and defenses fade throughout the Being Me Therapy journey, the true and present self emerges again and again. And then, we accept that it is safe to be present in the world as ME with all MY feelings.

When this happens, people often describe a feeling of 'coming home,' or 'the simplest and most natural place to be,' or a 'landing right back in my body and myself.'

Experiencing this deep sense of 'rightness' in the moment connects us to a feeling of 'being in truth.' It becomes an experience of simply being... here and now. As we are, and as we are meant to be.

And as many masters describe, this 'just being' experience is a divine state... A state of expansion beyond the limitations of mind, body, and time. And thus, by becoming fully ourselves, we go beyond ourselves... Ultimately, by finally finding the true self, we go completely beyond 'self.'

My Own Therapeutic Journey Over the Past 20 Years

My path through therapy has been a quest for healing my deepest wounds. In my 20s, I suffered from severe depression following a traumatic relationship that involved violence. I experienced intense anxiety and had PTSD that affected my self-image, relationships, and life in every way.

I tried many forms of therapy and was on antidepressants until my late 20s. However, I didn't feel that traditional psychological help was helping me. It wasn't until I started working with my body and connecting with my nervous system that I felt safe within myself again.

When I meet you in therapy, there is nothing you can tell me that will shock me. I have worked with medicated clients, people with anxiety, and those with C-PTSD after sexual assault. I will meet you with the deepest respect and humility for who you are and what you are experiencing. I know how painful it is when people belittle our feelings or offer "easy" solutions to our deepest pain, and how that plays out in our lives.

I have trained with Gaia Pollini in the 3 year Being Me Mastery Therapy program, and I am a certified Being Me therapist.

I have a deep experience and understanding of how difficult it can be to be in your body, in your emotions, and in the world, and I meet you as you are, right where you are in your life.
